The American psychologist, the founder of positive psychology, Martin Seligman, in 2016 made a statement that a person by nature is not so much intelligent as he is planning. It is the anticipation of happiness that is the basis of human happiness. And that the ability to analyze and anticipate the future is the basis of success and human happiness.
In his opinion, the central function of the brain is to consciously or unconsciously look into the future, and therefore consciousness is attached to the future, and not only analyzes the past.
In his book Homo Prospectus, Martin Seligman argues that a person cannot live in the present because his brain is different. A person constantly shovels past and present in order to plan the future. Martin Seligman points out that both the past and the present are needed only to plan the future. And emotions are a foretaste, an expectation of what may happen in the future, thereby determining a person’s behavior.
Many believe that the happiest people on earth are children. They give in to emotions, easily express them, joyful, optimistic and carefree. Children enjoy their plans for the future, they rejoice not only in the New Year, but also in preparation, they are waiting for a trip to the sea or to an amusement park, grandmother's arrival, and parents coming home from work. They prepare for these events with pleasure and positiveness, which enhances the positive effect of the event itself.
Martin Seligman’s TEACHING ABOUT POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY also justifies ASTROLOGY as an INSTRUMENT FOR KNOWING THE FUTURE, which can be either positive, to be relished in anticipation, or warning, which is especially worth preparing for.
